Once Upon A Time...
" There were three of us cycling to school. In Ipoh 40 years ago, it was still very safe. Three of us were in St. Micheals (very well-knowned). I'm not trying to show off but i was the top in my school. Back then, they graded us into groups: 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade. Obviously i was alway on the 1st grade and all pretty girls are always after me. My two friends, x and y, however were on the 2nd and 3rd grade respectively. Everyone saw Y was practically hopeless because back then people look high up on 1st grade students. I was a top student until Form 6 but that was another story. 30 years later, I managed to keep track of X but Y just disappeared. I found out that X was an engineer, same as me but no one ever heard of Y after he dropped out of Form 5. One day, i was infected with ulcer and decided to see a doctor. In the check-up room, a doctor looked at me for a minute and asked if i were from Ipoh, and I said yes. He asked if i studied in St. Micheals, and I said yes. Then, he popped up this question,"Do you remember me?", and I replied, no. The doctor said, " I used to cycle with you to school". The funny thing you look at things now is that he(the doctor) even earns more than me after his broken marriage and his second chance of restarting his perfect little life. "
With the tale of a true story, i've never felt that releaved. It made me realized that not every perfect education can make you successful. But my dear uncle told me, never neglect your studies as it's just a base before you start looking into the real world. And the rest...was his and my dad's secrets to success!
