Joyce welcomes you to Shanghai!

If you've been wondering about my hiatus, I was in China with my mom. We went to Shanghai, detour in Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi then back to Shanghai. Initially I wasn't interested due to the past experience in Beijing but i never regreted going this time. Honestly speaking, people in China are rude and obnoxious but their technology era is way better than M'sia. And if you think Chinese are good at everything, THEY ARE including spitting. If the country wouldn't be cold, i think it's flooded with spit!

One of the tallest building in the world

Funny story here...I'm like the dumbo in Shanghai due to the lack of understanding in their local Mandarin and my mom got to translate for me most of the time. So we went to this health place and got ourselves free foot massages and consultation from those Eastern doctors. I was in horror to see the lady doctor mumble something to my mom as if i was going to end my life in 6 months time. Yes, that serious! But i wasn't going to die afterall...Im fine but my health condition is somewhat unstable. Blame those raging hormones!
Did i mention how fabulous their landscape sights are??

Watched the chinese version of "Romeo & Juliet" by the lakeside.

The old Huangzhou area where people still utilize the river to the max!
One of the many places my mom adores. The Mighty Gingko Tree...
It's about 100 years old and my mom even asked if they can grow under our climate. She intends to ship the whole tree back and plant it in our backyard!
At Suzhou, conquering those steps to pay respect to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's grave.

The longest bridge in the world stretching up to 22 miles...
And my personal favourite, Wuxi. It's a very laidback town as compared to Shanghai. It's surrounded by lakes and mountains and is especially cold!
This lake is 4 times the size of Singapore! No kidding...

The 101m high standing Buddha and the gigantic Laughing Buddha which i rubbed the belly for 10 times in hoping for more laughters in me..!
It was the beginning of winter thus, it was very cold. When I went there, it was 3-17 degrees but when i left, it was -1 degree. That explains why i was so enthusiast to see the sun even when i was wearing 3 layers above my skin.

And let me introduce to you our youngest pasenger of the tour and also the star attraction of the group. He is only 6 but he is smart yet mischevious and he will find a way through to win a kiddy arguement with you. He is such a cuty but at the same time, equally annoying.

Pheww....that was a super long post. What do you expect, an 8 day trip with the most spectacular bunch of strangers who turned into a happy family by the end of the trip. Never once regretted on skipping my inter-college competition.
